
How to Change Ceiling Light
Switch off power, remove old fixture, disconnect wires. Mount new bracket, connect wires, fix new light, and install bulb and cover.
Turn off the power. Remove the old light fixture by unscrewing and disconnecting the wires. Attach the new light’s bracket to the ceiling, connect the wires, secure the new fixture, and then install the bulb and cover.
First, switch off the main power. Install a new ceiling box and run the wiring from a power source. Attach the light fixture bracket, connect the wires, secure the fixture to the bracket, and install the bulb and cover.
Switch off electricity. Mount the LED light’s bracket to the ceiling, connect the light’s wires to the existing wiring, secure the LED fixture to the bracket, and then attach any covers or diffusers.
Turn off the light. For glass domes, unscrew or gently push and turn the cover. For flat acrylic covers, use a flat tool to pry the edge open, being careful not to crack the cover.
Ensure the light is off and cool. For recessed bulbs, gently push and twist counterclockwise. For covered fixtures, remove the cover first, then change the bulb. Replace the cover if necessary.
Turn off the light. Remove the cover by unscrewing or gently prying it off. Replace the bulb by unscrewing the old one and screwing in a new one. Replace the cover securely.
Switch off the light. If there’s a cover, remove it by unscrewing or gently prying. Change the bulbs by unscrewing them counterclockwise and replacing them with new ones. Resecure the cover.
Switch off power, remove old fixture, disconnect wires. Mount new bracket, connect wires, fix new light, and install bulb and cover.
For ceiling lights, ensure enough light for the room’s size and use. Multiply square footage by 1.5 for wattage. Place lights evenly to avoid shadows
For closet lighting, choose 400-800 lumens for clear yet soft light. Larger closets might need more lumens for better brightness.
